One thing you really have to respect about Jay-Z is how business savvy the guy is. Yesterday Warner/Chappell which is the publishing division of the Warner Music Group announced a deal to distribute the copyrights of his songs and of those on his Roc Nation music publishing roster. Warner/Chappell will administer Jay-Z’s catalogue of music from 2008 to 2013 and his early work.
Jay-Z on the deal :“The real meaning of success is being in the position to work with an individual you consider a friend. Jon Platt is such a person. He’s a man of extraordinary character as well as a remarkably talented executive with an ear for music and an eye for talent. It’s great to watch him grow to be one the best in the business.”

In our latest edition of rappers and the NBA MMG’s poet Wale was not to happy about the Toronto Raptors play by-play announcers questioning his credibility. Wale was seated courtside at last nights Wizards VS. Raptors game and could be seen taunting the Raptors star Rudy Gay. The announcer whom pronounced his the rappers name as Wallay was approached by the rapper during the game. Of course it was on live television and caught on film peep the footage below.
