Solange Knowles, she slayed this year.
SFPL’s Worst Dressed Man of the Year Award
Drake. This man’s style depressed me all year, he brings ‘Marvin’s Room’ to life every time he hits a red carpet.

Keri Hilson. Pure F*ckery ALL YEAR!
SFPL’s Best Red Carpet Look of the Year
Kerry F*cking Washington. She was THEE Most Consistent, Classy & Classic this year, per usual.
SFPL’s Best Reality Show of the Year
VH1’s Basketball Wives LA. Who could forget the Queen Bi-polar Antics, Wacky Jackie? VH1’s Love & Hip Hop was a strong contender, but it started to late in the year to get it for us.
SFPL’s Best Comeback of the Year Award
BET’s ‘The Game’
The Game lived up to it’s expectations. We can’t wait for the next season to begin.
SFPL’s Best Album of the Year Award
Beyonce ‘4’. Come on, you saw this coming. Bey poured her heart and soul into this album. It’s her most mature project to date and we appreciated every single.
Well, one had to grow on us …
But we got over it.
SFPL’s Best Single of the Year Award
Kelly Rowland‘s ‘Motivation‘. It was the moment that we have been waiting for all her life! Kelly stepped up and gave us a HIT! A number 1 hit at that, with so much airplay you hated the song by the end of the year! This was a good year for Kelly, let’s pray she keeps up the momentum.
SFPL’s Best Video of the Year Award
Adele ‘s “Rolling in the Deep”. It was classic. It proved that you don’t need a big budget to make a meaningful video.
SFPL’s Best New Artist Award
(Tie) J.Cole. J had a phenomenal year, His debut album debuted at number one, his songs received thousands of spins and he can add Beyonce to his list of collaborations. Niice.
Big Sean. Big Sean also had an amazing year with his debut album making waves and his lyrical attributes earning notice. He earned his stripes this year.
SFPL’s Best Male Artist R&B Award
Miguel. He dresses like a space ship, but he delivered one of the best R&B Albums of the year. Period.
SFPL’s Best Female Artist R&B Award
Marsha Ambrosius. Marsha gave us a heartfelt album with Late Nights & early Mornings and had a great year to follow. She was apart of a wave of real R&B Music that made a return this year.
SFPL’s Best Male Artist Hip Hop Award
The Duo of Kanye West and Jay-Z did it for me this year. From ‘Otis’ to ‘Ni**s In Paris’ they captivated with their comradery and lyrical showmanship.
SFPL’s Best Female Artist Hip Hop Award
Nicki Minaj. This was an Amazing year for Nicki. She owned this year.
SFPL’s Best Male Unsigned Artist Award
K Dot Forbes. This. Kid. Has. IT. When he blows, know where you heard him first.

Kimberly Nicole. If we had a label, we’d sign her today.
SFPL’s Most ‘Slept On’ Artist Of The Year Award
Melanie Fiona. She’s so amazing, but I feel like no one get’s it.
SFPL’s Mixtape of the Year Award
Jhene Aiko Sailing Soul(s) Her voice and the sound/feel of this project was smooth and refreshing. We loved it!
SFPL’s ‘Have A Seat’ Award
Ray-J. We’re all the way good on this man.
SFPL’s Worst Single Of The Year Award
“Billionaire”–Travie McCoy ft. Bruno Mars. We hated every second of this song and THE only reason why you all loved it was because we were all good and broke in this economic climate. SFPL refuses to even post a picture.

(Tie) Tika Sumpter & Bridget Kelly. From Gossip Girl to The Game and now the highly anticipated Sparkle Movie among others, we’ve got our eyes on Tika.
