So Lil’ Wayne has announced his plan to retire at the young age of 35 .
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I mean, OK.
Why is he planning on hanging up the mic in seven years?
While recently speaking to Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, Wayne states; “This is what happens when you work very, very hard. People think that when you say you work hard, they think you put two extra hours in. This is my life,” he said. “That’s why retiring at 35 would be a life lived, because this music thing is my life. So retiring at 35 would be enough. I’m 28.”
I didn’t know rapping was like working for the City. Retirement after 20 years?
This is not the first time we’ve heard of a Rapper retiring.
But we honestly belive when you love what you do, there’s no such thing as retirement (unless you physically reach your peak).
Maybe it’s just us.
Thoughts?
