Last Friday the Fly Guys were on deck to Cover Sirens After Dark, a bi-monthly entertainment showcase/after party created by artistic director/choreographer Rhapsody James.
As usual we brought the good times with us, you should join us for the next one…
Here’s a recap.
The event was hosted by the hilarious Shernita Anderson. Truly one of the funniest young women I know. So funny I can’t take her…LOL!
She keeps us in stitches.
A kee kee.
Venom heated things up rather quickly, real sexy, sexy sexy…
Urban Dance Alliance never disappoints, and Friday was no different.
There’s never a dull moment with this crew.
The Energy is always crazy.
Get Em’
New to the Sirens showcase was Kay Ann Ward.
Hollywood’s piece was Dope. The Vampire theme was Tight and the Choreo was on point. He steps it up every time.
Always entertaining.
More of our recap after the jump…
Shyrelle K, with her signature sensual moves performed a sexy rendition of Janet Jakson’s Black Cat.
Living on the edge, not afraid to die…
Torey Nelson’s Vixens lived up to the name.
Torey always delivers…
The Odd Couple of Neil and Fantastic really did it for me. I didn’t know what to expect but it was dope. The execution was nicely done.
HA!
Margueritte Hemmings, mixed it up with a little dancehall. It was much appreciated as it hyped the crowd to no avail.
Signal the plane…
Get into it.
Christie Cahill’s contemporary choreography changed the tone. The diversity is always appreciated-this is a dope platform for all forms of dance.
Singer/Songwriter L. Michele was on deck, doing what she does best.
We see you.
Rhapsody The Company.
Killed it.
Period.
This was the point where I lost my voice.
Jamie J & Co came through like a flood. Switching it up from his usual one piece-they danced to a medley of joints.
Definitely a Great look.
HA!
Sara Galan, brought the drums out- and took us to Africa for a Minute. She did it right with the drummers on stage- it was an excellent representation of the culture.
Kim Holmes, vet to the stage- put that technique to good use in her contemporary piece.
The Choreography of Steven Williams was fresh and out of the box.
Strykeforce Entertainment, brought the heat. Whew.
The choreography of Melody Mills was up next.
Singer Tina Brown showed us how she does it.
Victor Sho and Co were in the building.
Dope.
Ryan Davis touched the stage for the first time with his choreography, with special guest in tow-he did his thing.
The Eyez Project ended the night, wacking it up Canadian style. I was not mad.
See you at the next showcase…
-Stay FLY!
