@ Bryan ~Shoooooot…I don’t think anybody will be going that far these days. There are over half a million people who recently lost their jobs. There are so many homes going into foreclosure that banks have actually stopped foreclosure proceedings. The way things are looking these days, I think LV is gonna be stuck with a whole lot of overpriced shoes.

LV makes luxury products not meant for consumption by the working class or the “working man.” Despite the aspirational consumption of the luxury sector, the products are meant for select folks of certain means.

Stay out of the kitchen, CrocoEmbossed? Most of us can stand the heat in the kitchen, but why cook with a jacket on? It doesn’t make any sense. Our economy are going through its toughest times, and we should spend 900 plus on some overpriced s-carters? I’ve purchased some LV products and they’re cheaper than these sneakers. Ridiculous.

I didn’t say anyone should buy anything. I also didn’t say the shoes don’t have a low cost to benefit ratio. They do.
Frankly, there are better ways to spend your money. However my point is that the luxury sector cannot be diluted because of a recession. Luxury labels produce the most special pieces and they charge a hefty markup for that, which is entirely appropriate.
The last thing Vuitton needs to do is appease a commonaire who thinks s/he should be able to cop on the cheap in the name of a weak economy. What they will most likely do is limit production so they don’t have excess inventory.
Fun, luxurious and lustworthy clothing will always and should always cost more. Complaining about price, however, is banal. Gripes about prices are for necessities such as food, shelter and utilities. Gripes about the price of luxury is just silly as luxury is far from mandatory.
Now, if you don’t want sticker shock, by all means, stay in Uniqlo/H&M and all those other run of the mill places.

I am a working girl, who is no stranger to the Luxury Brand that is Louis Vuitton. I will say, that people have the right to complain about whatever they wish. That’s number one. I will also so that my complaint is that these particular sneakers are about 300 dollars more than your average LV kicks and they do NOT even look as good. That’s my issue- and I luv H and M demeaning those who shop there is ridiculous-coming from someone who works hard to shop where ever she pleases. Good Day!

LV right now is over hyped any way. their so many other nicer brands that people wont buy because the mases will not know what they are. thats what happens when you start dressing to impress others. I bought a dope pair of raf simons for 500 bucks and the good thing about it is that nobody in my lame town has a clue as to what they are. Baltimore. With LV there is no mistaking what they are. I seen a guy the other night with the grafitti print shirt and the shoes. I thought the circus was in town.

Yes Kevin, lol @ circus in town! I love when ppl don’t know who you are wearing! Like these pair of Bally’s i need cop! When people begin to dress to impress themselves and not others they will then begin to set trends (for themselves to live by). But when they can’t carry their style with confidence it leaves room to be picked apart by other people opinion (and thats exactly what it is, an OPINION!).
Side note: Personally, I prefer Gucci over LV anyway. and T5S over em all!

For the record, I am nobody’s label whore and do not own any LV footwear. Full disclosure: I do own LV bags, but I have the ultimate hookup.
My point is that anything from a designer label is overpriced, so why start bitching now? Regular LV kicks are priced absurdly and these are no exception.So don’t get the text twisted.
