On the latest episode of CasBar, we chopped it up with R&B singer Nick Grant. We took a break from our Tekken edition and decided to pick up NBA 2K once again. Since no one has a super team, we decided to make it random and let the NBA gawds make their choices.
But you know we gotta go over the rules first:
- If Team CASSIUS wins, Grant has to answer any crazy question we ask. If Grant wins, he gets to plug whatever he wants for 15 seconds.
- To make things fair (and speed things up) the quarters will be two minutes long with both opponents having random teams.
- And most importantly, Team CASSIUS better not get its ass kicked.
It didn’t look good for CASSIUS upon tip-off, with Wade getting stuck with the Denver Nuggets while Grant lucks up with the Houston Rockets who damn near knocked off the Warriors this year. Things were close at first then Grant started pulling ahead and never looked back. But since we knew it might be a blowout, Wade snuck some good questions in during the quarters so we still got some juice. First, Wade asks him what he thinks the most important message he’s been putting out.
“To stay true to yourself. Stay true to your art. There’s a lot of shit going on out here. I think the key is giving people an alternative,” he says, while explaining how important is it to him to make good music and try to change people’s lives.
By now you can guess that Grant handed Wade the L, but check out the vid above to find out the most genuine celebrities the R&B crooner has talked to.
