As a black artist, I belong to a mighty tribe. We celebrate our greatness as a people and we amplify our humanity. Even when the world tells us that neither exists. That’s what black artists have done since the beginning. I’m proud to be a part of that legacy, alongside so many others who do the work of lifting us up and keeping us there. Thanks to everyone who voted and to #NAACP for the nomination. Onward for all of us! And appreciation to these lovelies for helping me tonight: Stylist: @jasonbolden Hair: @kimblehaircare Make-up: @uzo2018 Outfit: @gretaconstantine Mules: @malonesouliers Jewelry: @hsternofficial Clutch: @haywardhouseny 🖤
