Mike Colter Defends The Streets of Harlem In New Trailer For Upcoming Netflix Series ‘Luke Cage’.

weet Christmas! Netflix/Marvel gave us a small glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming Luke Cage original Netflix series. Today we get a healthy look at the upcoming original series coming to the popular streaming service this September.

With the Isaac Haye’s “Walk on By” as the soundtrack we see the reluctant hero Luke Cage (Mike Colter) decide to use his abilities to make a difference in Harlem a “perpetual symbol of hope and prosperity” as described by Alfre Woodard who plays powerful political figure Mariah Dillard. We also get a really good look at his nemesis Cornell “Cottenmouth” Stokes (Mahershala Ali) dishing out bloody and severe punishment. Rosario Dawson returns as nurse Claire Temple and is heavily featured in the trailer. Comic book nerds will also rejoice to see Misty Knight (Simone Missick) in the trailer as she is a major role player in the Luke Cage and upcoming Iron Fist universe.

We will also see exactly how Luke Cage gained his abilities due to a botched military experiment on him. This new trailer definitely succeeds in building up the anticipation for original series. Peep the intense new trailer for Luke Cage below:
