Yesterday, emerging Brooklyn talent, SAINt JHN, premiered the debut music video “1999” on FADER.
The Coney Island-based clip was directed by Maria Juranic and features SAINt and his crew GØDD COMPLEXx riding through the desolate streets, evoking Walter Hill’s The Warriors.
Pigeons and Planes noted SAINt JHN’s “brand of hip-hop is intense,” and added, “His voice delivers urgency, clarity and passion.” While he rhymes with a sense of urgency, demanding attending, so do his songs – he penned Usher’s hypnotic latest single, “Crash,” which is receiving unanimous praise.
SAINt JHN and his crew GØDD COMPLEXx are preparing for his debut show July 31 at HARD Summer Festival in Los Angeles.
