Guinness World Record holding film franchise Star Wars continues to break records. Having already earned the title of “most successful film merchandising franchise”, they have shattered records for pre-sale ticket sales with the latest installment “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. A record previously held by “The Dark Knight Rises”, which did $25 million; the film has already sold over $100 million in pre-sale tickets.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” doesn’t officially open until tomorrow, but as of this morning Fandango is also reporting that the film has sold more tickets than any film during it’s complete theatrical run. The latest Star Wars film hasn’t even hit theaters yet and it already holds the title for most tickets sold in movie history. Looks to me like Star Wars fans can give the Bey Hive a run for their money.

You can check out the trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” below. The cast also stopped by MTV News to offer some hilarious dating advice to some of the Star Wars characters we’ve all grown to love.
