A few weeks ago, the world learned that artist J. Cole had teamed up with HBO for the release of Forest Hill Drive: Homecoming. The mini documentary captured the Fayetteville stop of his Forest Hills Drive tour.

Today, J. Cole surprised fans by announcing via his Instagram that Forest Hill Drive: Homecoming was only the final piece of a five-part mini documentary series titled Road to Homecoming. Cole teases that the documentary takes you through the last year of his life; giving you insight into the album rollout process, the acts featured on the Forest Hill Drive tour, his Dollar and a Dream tour, as well as the inner workings of his career, and the people who help bring his vision into fruition.

An installment will be released each week until the premiere of Forest Hill Drive: Homecoming on HBO. Each installment will be made available on HBO Now and Vimeo until January 9th.
