Yeah we know, we left you high and dry last week, but we are back cause we just couldn’t go another week without a recap. Power is picking up quickly, the chess pieces are being placed on the board and falling left and right. Hop into the FLY recap of Season 2, episode 8 after the jump.
POWER IS ONE BIG GAME OF CHESS!
Episode 8 opens up quite interestingly with Lobos and his business partner/boyfriend Javier.
Lobos is enjoying a little bit of downtime taking a dip in the pool while a hooker impressively tops him off while underwater. The mood is quickly interrupted when an assassin tries to put a bullet in Lobos head but only manages to wipe out the male hooker before she ultimately gets knocked. The Jimenez Brothers failed attempt rattles Lobos as he realizes he’s not even safe in New York either, and he has to collect his money and get out A.S.A.P.
Tasha and Ghost seem to be getting along again thanks in part to their new business only relationship.
Ever so observant Ghost notices Tasha changed the security code to the safe… What’s that about? See what happens when you give them the keys and security codes? Anyway they discuss matters pertaining to the kids but the mood quickly shifts to business. Tasha wants to know what Ghost’s plan is after she stopped Tommy from canceling Christmas on Angela last episode. He reveals that Angela told him that himself and Tommy are not even the ones Angela really wants, she wants Lobos. Initially not pleased with the new revelation there is an immediate cause for concern. Always thinking Tasha puts the idea out in the universe they should kill Lobos to take the heat of them.
Ghost is reluctant but Tasha convinces him that this may work barring that he doesn’t get caught.
The NSA oops we mean Angela is following through with her plan of spying on Ghost bugging his phone.
Not getting the full package being able to actually hear Ghost’s phone calls she is given a burner phone that will receive every text he receives and sends. The store owner warns Angela he deals with women all the time who want to spy on their husbands initially but then change their minds. Angela is still dead set on finding out the truth about Jamie and proceeds with her plan.
We didn’t think Holly had competition as far as characters we can’t stand on the show, Angela is quickly climbing to the top of the list. Ghost heads to the new stash house location, thanks in large part to Tommy’s paranoia last episode, which turned out to be a good move. Tommy and Ghost finally interact with each other after their last encounter ended very shaky and almost resulted in the death of Angela.
Ghost checks Tommy for not listening to him and trying to ice Angela, he also fills him in on his new plan ( a modified version of Tasha’s plan). Ghost tells Tommy that Angela wants Lobos and they should give her what she wants and kill Lobos split the money and get out of the life.
Saaaay whaaaat, get out the life? Tommy of course wants no part of that idea at all and tells Ghost they are never getting out the life (secretly he should listen to Ghost). Never though?
There is no such thing as a retirement plan for drug kingpins but Tommy isn’t clearly bright or thinking straight. Tommy is also still dead set on killing Angela “one way or another”. We catch up with Shawn, his mom “best ass in nyc” questions his whereabouts as of late. How old is Shawn? Well anyway Shawn is shocked by the return of a certain individual.
KANAN IS BACK IN TOWN! He also looks Love and Hip-Hop Reunion Show FLY or like he just stepped off the set of the “Window Shopper” video.
Kanan immediately gets to business and asks Shawn what his Uncle G has been up too since he’s been gone and about his connect Lobos. Sean tells him he doesn’t know much about Lobos that doesn’t sit well with Kanan. He instructs his son to find out.
