The Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) will host the Fourth Annual WEEN Awards on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, recognizing individuals with a proven commitment to the empowerment of women worldwide. Check it out below…
An evening of glamour, philanthropy, and stars, the Fourth Annual WEEN Awards will take place at New York’s Helen Mills. The Fourth Annual WEEN Awards will highlight the outstanding achievements of women in various areas of business and entertainment.
The honorees this year include Hip-Hop legend, MC Lyte; radio personality, Angela Yee; financial literacy expert, Lynn Richardson; fitness motivator, Jeanette Jenkins; entrepreneur and Founder of Carol’s Daughter, Lisa Price, singer Sevyn Streeter and director, filmmaker, artist, designer, creative consultant and DJ, Vashtie Kola.
Past honorees include: Vivica A. Fox, Angie Martinez, Nia Long, and Soledad O’Brien. Proceeds from the WEEN Awards will fund the organization’s flagship program, The WEEN Academy; a six- week entertainment industry boot camp for young women ages 18-22.
