Or is a lace peak-a-boo dress more suitable for your two-year old? Or juts maybe your fashion fix of choice is a faux leather with attached diaper cover for $22.99? Well, there are quite a few moms who don’t quite agree with you. Enters Amie Logan, a mom from Roeland Park, Kansas, who has started a petition for Babies R Us to pull the Kardashian Kids line from its stores completely.
Not only did she start a Change.org petition to get the wheels rolling, but more than a few moms have joined the fight. But what exactly is the issue?
“I don’t want my child to grow up to be a sex tape star,”
Logan wrote, referring to the purportedly leaked sex tape featuring Kim Kardashian that launched her reality-TV career.
“You pulled the ‘Breaking Bad’ toys because they promoted drug use. You should pull this clothing line because it promotes bad behavior as well. The madness has to stop. If the toys are damaging, so is the clothing.”
Logan is referring to a line of “Breaking Bad” action figures for adults that Toys R Us, the franchise connected to Babies R Us, removed from shelves after receiving complaints that it was inappropriate to sell toys based on meth-cooking drug dealers.
“Kids should not be dressed like prostitutes (aka: prosti-tots),” wrote one petition supporter from Chicago.
“I don’t like walking into babys r us and the first thing I see is Kardashian clothing line hanging on the racks because the first thing that pops in my mind is “sex tape.” writes another.
The Kardashian Kids line has been carried by Babies R Us since March. The clothes are geared for girls up to 2 years old. The line is a collaboration between Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Juni Corp., and features faux-leather leggings for babies and toddlers, along with animal-print bibs and faux-fur vest jackets.
