We have some sad news to report sneaker heads, Jordan Brand is officially putting the Jordan III in the vault.
The news was announced during the Air Jordan 2015 Retro roundtable by Jordan Brand VP of footwear David Schecter.
“The Air Jordan 3 is going back in the vault. The last color just dropped,” said Schechter.
The last color he is referring to is the “Sport Blues” that dropped last weekend pictured below.
Schecter stated the reasoning behind the decision to stop making the iconic sneaker was that it needed a “reset”. He also stated that when the Air Jordan III returns it will be completely “remastered“, so don’t panic this isn’t the last time you will see the sneaker. We agree that the quality in these shoes has gone down tremendously and Jordan Brand feels the same way.
They plan to release in 2015 a whole new set of retro’s, completely remastered and as close to quality of the originals.
That’s good news to us. Checkout the gallery below of our favorite colorways in the history of the Jordan III.
