On this past Saturday night, amidst the festivities and crowds brought out by the Essence Music Festival, close friends and family gathered in the heart of the French Quarter to celebrate Sevyn Streeter’s birthday at Muriel’s Jackson Square restaurant, sponsored by Rosa Regale and Beautiful Textures.
In attendance were Sevyn’s family including her mother and father and three of her closest childhood friends, and several VIP guests including Trey Songz, Tank, Angela Simmons, Raheem DeVaughn, Kenny Burns (Revolt), Rob Hill Sr. (“The Heart Healer”) among others. One of the night’s most memorable moments came when Tank serenated Sevyn–a long-standing dream come true for her—with a sweet rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
The event was a preamble to Sevyn’s explosive set at the Essence Music Festival the following day where she performed for the first time at Essence Music Fest to a packed audience in the Ford Superlounge. Sevyn’s entire Essence Festival experience is being chronicled in a four-part online documentary series called “Road to Essence” sponsored by Ford. You can watch the first part of the series here and the additional parts will be released in the coming weeks.

Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Taking the time and actual effort to create a good article… but what can I say… I
put things off a whole lot and never manage to get anything done.
Hurrah! Finally I got a blog from where I can really obtain helpful
data regarding my study and knowledge.
