Last night at the luxurious Hudson Hotel in NYC, team SFPL was on hand to preview Def Jam’s southern crooner August Alisna’s debut album Testimony.
Invited guest enjoyed a full open bar while DJ Wonder spun the latest hits setting the tone for the night. Alsina’s fellow Def Jam label mates Fabolous and Pusha T were on hand to support the young artist. The two mc’s also make appearances on Alsina’s album Testimony. Also in attendance was Revolt TV’s Sharon Carpenter, DJ Khaled, Kazeem Famuyide (The Stashed), Lowkey (Youheardthatnew), Shawn ‘Pecas” Costner (EVP of Def Jam Records) and Vivian Billings (ThisIs50). Angela Yee from Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club morning show handled hosting duties for the night. The highlight of the night was Pecas presenting Alsina with a gold plaque for his hit single ‘I Luv This Shit’. After receiving the plaque Alsina fought back tears as it was a very emotional moment for the young artist. Step into the flicks from the night below…
