On Monday Eve, VH1 and Hot 97 along with Monami Entertainment, Eastern TV and Myx Fusions Moscato, premiered the first two episodes of the upcoming docu-series “This is Hot 97” at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City.
Cast members in attendance at the “Myx & Mingle” event included Angie Martinez, Funkmaster Flex, Ebro Darden, Miss Info, Paul Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds,Laura Stylez and DJ Camilo.
The evening kicked off with Cipha Sounds taking the stage to give the 350+ crowd a warm comedic welcome.
He then brought comedian Brooklyn Mike onstage for a hilarious stand-up routine followed by introductory remarks from executive producer Mona Scott Young.
After the viewing, attendees posed their questions to the cast and got their take on the show, which is, in the words of Ebro, “nothing like a reality show.” He maintained that the cast is like family and that the show gives viewers an authentic behind-the-scenes look at Hot 97.
