The song samples Jeru the Damaja and DJ Premier’s classic “Come Clean” and is a cover of Sade’s “Stronger Than Pride”. In the video Marsha puts those woman detective skills to use as she catches her on-screen love interest fooling around. What did old boy in? A condom in the pocket tsk tsk tsk, it must have been the glare of the gold wrapper that caught her eye. “Stronger Than Pride” is the follow-up to “Without You” and will live on her forthcoming album Friends & Lovers due out sometime this year.
