DJ Quiana Parks and Contemporary Lifestyle & Sports brand, Puma, launched their first annual DJ For A Cure Gallery Presentation recently in NYC. In partnership with The Leukemia Lymphoma Society, DJ For A Cure aimed and succeeded to raise awareness around the seriousness of blood type cancers.
Held at the private night club Mister H (Mondrian Soho), DJ For A Cure featured an (11) piece silent art auction curated by Kristin Sancken Fine Arts, where proceeds directly benefited the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
Quiana States: “Over one million Americans are living with or are in remission from, leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma and only 30 percent survive,” says Parks. “I am lucky enough to be a part of that small percentile and will do all that I can to put an end to cancer!”
DJ For A Cure raised over $3,000.00 in donations and sold pieces from artists Lee Trice, Hunter Speagle, Kristin Nazarevskaia, Ben Hotchkiss and a Quiana Parks original purchased maximum bid.
The night included a live mix show hosted by Bravo star Chef Roble and featured acts, DJ JUSS, DJ KalKutta, Austin Millz, DJ Quiana Parks, DJ KISS and DJ Mos. Notable attendees included singer Luke James, disk-jockey-producer DJ D-Nice, model Shaun Ross and celebrity designer and stylist Ty Hunter.
