On Friday, January 24th, 2014 resident shore man Vinny Guadagnino, of MTV‘s hit show Jersey Shore as well as the star of The Show With Vinny, stopped by Friday evening as the featured guest in the Hip Hop Improv Show – TAKE IT PERSONAL presented by Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), the top improv theatre and school in NYC.
Improvisers from Cipha Sounds’ team A Tribe Called YES (Anthony Atamanuik, Christian Capozzoli, Lydia Hensler, Shaun Diston and Cipha Sounds) whom reenacted stories originally told by Vinny Guadagnino.
During the show, the actor/ reality star shared with audiences, how his first interviewee on The Show With Vinny came to be none other than Young Money frontman, Lil Wayne after his stint in Rikers, and what it was like to have the native New Orleans rapper at his home in Staten Island, along with his entourage in tow as Vinny’s mother laid out a massive Italian style spread for visitors. During the set, Vinny references Weezy’s weird fascination with the Guadagnino family’s pet Parrot, and his short lived career as a “Freestyle King” in High school. Cipha Sounds said, “It was great to have Vinny come out and tell us what life after Jersey Shore for him has been like.”
Music was provided by DJ Drewski of Hot 97 and Sirius XM. Special guests included Keith Nelson (AllHipHop.com), Gabriel Williams (StuffFlyPeopleLike.com), Techie (XXL), Willy Dope (Par-City), and more. TAKE IT PERSONAL will continue every Friday at the legendary UCB Theater.
