On Friday, November 15, 2013, Peter Gunz was featured in the Hip Hop Improv Show – ‘TAKE IT PERSONAL’ presented by Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds and Upright Citizens Brigade(UCB), the top improv theatre and school in NYC. Improvisers from Cipha Sounds’ team A Tribe Called YES (Abra Tabak, Anthony Atamanuik, Lydia Hensler, Phillip Jackson, Anthony Apruzzese, Shaun Diston, and Cipha Sounds) reenacted stories originally told by Peter Gunz.

During the show the rapper, now VH1 Love & Hip Hop star, Peter Gunz shared a story about how he got an STD from his best friend’s girlfriend. In his defense, his best friend asked Peter to “take care” of his girlfriend while he was away for a while. He also told a story about how it was writing for Shaq years ago.

The audience made sure to let Peter Gunz know how they felt about his actions. Cipha Sounds said, “This guy got a lot of hate when he first got on stage, but then the comedy saved him. Laughter cures all wounds.”

Music was provided by DJ Drewski of Hot 97 and Sirius XM. Special guests included, Gabriel Williams (StuffFlyPeopleLike.com), Lakeia Brown (HipHopDX.com), Jakk Doe (JakkDoe.com), Techie, Willy Dope (Par-City), and more.

TAKE IT PERSONAL will continue every Friday at the legendary UCB Theater.
