As the streets continue to buzz, as the spins continue to get added on station after station nationwide, Gillie Da Kid finally drops his video for the controversial single “King Me”. When this record dropped 3 months ago, the streets were expecting for an all out war to start between long time associate and Philly native Meek Mill and Gillie, especially after Meek dropped his single Panamera which was slated to be a response to “King Me”.
But as usual Gillie Da Kid aka Gillie Da King kept rivals at bay by announcing the morning after, that the King Me record was not a diss toward Meek Mill but merely a record that stated the truth about his position on the Philly streets. In previous news, fans were able to see Mr. Kid in the studio with Will Smith which was an unprecedented feat not yet achieved by the Maybach music artist.
In this video which officially dropped recently, fans are able to see how connected Gillie da Kid is to the streets of Philly giving ode to Beanie Sigel wearing a “Free Beanie Sigel” T-shirt under his appraised $300,000 dollar diamond Relumae Record pendants.
Look out for Gillie’s upcoming album which has yet to obtain a release date and keep up with him on twitter and instagram @Gillie_da_kid.
