Colin Munroe premieres the video for “The Fight of My Life” featuring Pusha T today via Consequence of Sound. Directed by Philip Sportel, Munroe’s video looks like adrenaline feels, hypnotizing viewers with its transfixing imagery, one pulse at a time.

The track is from his genre-defying mixtape Unsung Hero, recently released in partnership withKarmaloop. Additional features include Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, RZA, K.Flay, Memoryhouse &Cassie.

Munroe has also branched into the EDM world with remixes of “The Fight of My Life” by electronic duo Zeds Dead and “Your Eyes” feat. K.Flay by Datsik. These new versions and more will be available for download later this fall as part of a remix package.

Colin Munroe’s debut album drops early 2013 via Capitol Records.

This is definitely a collaboration that we were anticipating! Drake teams up with PYNK Cover Girl, Dawn Richard and singer/producer Colin Munroe, which completes this musical package. Peep their new jawn entitled “Where Were You” after the jump…

The featured track was initially submitted to be included in Drake’s 2010 studio album, Thank Me Later. When it wasn’t chosen for the album, Colin Munroe, released his own version of the song titled “Whatever Became of You” and included it in his mixtape, Unsung Hero. No word on whether or not this will be included on Drake’s next album or not. [MissJia]

Bulletproof Monster, the second installment in The Revox Suite , was a challenging experiment. The acapella of Nicki Minaj’s verse from “Monster” is in a vault somewhere so I was forced to use it with Kanye’s beat underneath, which made adding new vocals tricky. I also had to digitally alter La Roux’s “Bulletproof” melody to make it fit the “Monster” beat. Add my revox to that and it feels like I’ve created a musical Frankenstein. Fitting, I think. Enjoy this Bulletproof Monster.

Colin caught the attention of the music industry earlier last year when his unofficial remix and video of Kanye West’s “Flashing Lights” exploded online, earning kudos from Kanye to Pitchfork to Perez. In December, he released a free mixtape – Colin Munroe is the Unsung Hero – featuring collaborations with Wale, Drake, Blaqstarr among others, to widespread acclaim. Colin is in the process of debuting his LP “Don’t Think Less of Me” – later this summer via Universal Motown.

Colin also has a brand new remix of “Piano Lessons” that leaked recently. The track pairs the Unsung Hero with the Harlem Capo, Jim Jones, who counterpoints Colin’s frustration with childhood piano lessons with his own recollection of growing up in the streets of NY. There were doubts that the idea of a Munroe/Jones collab was pretty out there… But the resulting rmx is pretty satisfying.
