LAST NIGHT IN NYC…

Last Night in NYC, Rihanna held a Super Exclusive Album Release Party @ the Juliette Superclub. We got the word extra late, it was real hush hush, and the word was put out that media were not welcomed.
I’d like to vent right now, but I’m not. It’s whatever. Ya’ll call the media to snap pics of this girl walking the streets and then shut the media out of an Event where press should be.
I guess she can sell albums without us, eh?

Funny thing is that I heard about this yesterday through a friend that’s in the league, and I was in Miami. I didn’t bother asking you if you were going, because that would be the obvious.

Rihanna needs all the publicity she can get right now. Her sales have not been good and as a result u can buy her CD on Amazon for $3.99 which maybe reduced to 99cents….

You sound like a woman scorned by Def Jam. The media is a tool to be used and discarded – no shame. Yes, you are more than welcome to snap pics, but do not think that’s a platinum card for all access.

You misinterpreted my statement. Of course Rihanna needs press as she lacks real talent and is mostly about gimmick. But that wasn’t my point!
My point is that most members of the general press/media are used as a medium for exposure then discarded. You see they snapped the pic of her in the gold dress at the party and it’s floating the internet now. Their job is done – there was no need to invite them in the party when they can remain outside of the party.
No go sit and let that message steep. And of course her album will under-perform because she under-performs.
