SFPL readers, meet Collins Pennie!

Collins is a talented actor, singer/songwriter and dancer, who will be starring in the upcoming film “FAME“. The much anticipated film will hit theaters on Sept. 25th. Collins is featured on 4 different tracks off of the FAME soundtrack, which is unheard of for any actor that is involve in a movie.

He also has a current hit single titled “Dirrty Martini” produced by DJ Felli Fell, that is blazin on one of LA’s hottest radio stations Power 106!

BIO:

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Collins spent half of his childhood in numerous foster homes only to move out on his own at the tender age of 15. Collins was an ordinary kid who quickly realized that he wanted more out of life than what the Brooklyn projects had to offer. Armed with singing, acting and dance gifts, Collins was able to find a new home in the world of entertainment.

Undeniable talent and determination made major industry power players take notice. After only six months in the business, Collins landed his first role playing Sean in the hit daytime drama “As The World Turns”. Just two months later, Collins landed a guest-starring role playing Jimmy Gordon on the hit show “Law & Order”. A role on “Without A Trace” soon followed.

His television work quickly caught the attention of the world-renowned  Ford Model Management, who signed Collins. Soon after he was chosen to be apart of the successful “CK One” fragrance campaign for Calvin Klein. Collins was also an successful dancer working with artist like Beyonce and P. Diddy.

Pennie took the leap onto the big screen in the Oscar nominated film “Half Nelson”. His follow up “Prom Night” top the box office weekend grossing over 55 million dollars. Pennie now is set to star in the Remake of the 1980′s film “Fame”. Pennie plays Malik, an intense, gifted artist who must reconcile his past before he can truly move on and find his voice.
