Clearly it’s a Carter News weekend lol

After several partnerships with HBO (i.e. Beyonce’s documentary ‘Life Is But A Dream’ and the debut of Jay-Z’s ‘Picasso Baby’) looks as if the Carter’s might be switching gears, or networks that is. Showtime has acquired “Made in America”, a film that chronicles the hip-hop icons inaugural Philadelphia music festival.

With Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind) set as director, Jay Z, Howard, and Brian Grazer positioned as executive producers, the film will make its television debut on Friday, Oct. 11 following its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 7.


The documentary features performances and interviews with artists including Kanye West, Rita Ora, Run–D.M.C., Odd Future, Pearl Jam, and more.
