We Like: Nike’s 2013 Black History Month Collection

Nike unveiled their upcoming Black History product collection on their website. This year the brand will be honoring three Nike family athletes Kevin Durant, Serena Williams and soccer star Didier Drogba.  Nike chose these athletes because they “embody a bold and progressive spirit,both in athletics and social stewardship” and inspired the “Be Bold. Be True.” mantra for 2013. The collection features 7 sneakers, 2 tees, a destroyer jacket, a pair of elite crew socks and hat. Each piece in the collection will features a bold and repeat pattern and hand-drawn icons symbolic of each of the three athletes causes they are committed too outside of their respect sports. Nike INC will also be a financial contributions to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America . Take a look at all of the product below, they will be available for purchase on January 26th at select retailers and Nike.com.
