We’d like to give Marsha Ambrosius a Standing Ovation for this one. In a World where artist are afraid to go against the grain in their video’s and music alike, Marsha just stepped up to the plate.
“Far Away,” is the second single off her debut solo album Late Nights & Early Mornings, due out February 22. This sure to be controversial video displays some of the difficulties that alternative couples faces in today’s society. It’s so completely left field and powerful, and far from what you’d expect any routine video to be.
Peep the Video and Marsha’s message after the jump…
Marsha’s message at the end reads…
every year over 1 million people commit SUICIDE. Some were bullied because of their SEXUALITY. I lost a friend to SUICIDE, and I’m asking all of you to support alternative lifestyles. Don’t put up with or join in with BULLYING. It’s time we become more aware in this WORLD. Take a responsibility to make a difference. So if my music can save one life, I’ve done my job.
Props to Marsha for a message behind the music, it’s definitely lacking in today’s music.
