As quiet as it’s kept, over the Cinco De Mayo weekend, Ms. Lauryn Hill released a new debatable, and yet political message about today’s unhealthy paradigms. The titled track is called “Neurotic Society (Compulsory Mix),” in which she vigorously released due to her no-so-good pending, possible prison sentencing.

As it stands, on today, Lauryn Hill was sentenced to 3 months in prison for tax evasion. In the process, Lauryn faces three additional months of home confinement followed by nine months of supervised release. So far, Lauryn has paid back $970,000 to at least ease some on the tension on her case.

Hill had this to say:

“I needed to be able to earn so I could pay my taxes, without compromising the health and welfare of my children, and I was being denied that,” Ms. Hill said in court, according to The Associated Press.

Hopefully, Lauryn can serve her time and square all this away. Fans have been waiting for a full follow-up since her release of 1998’s ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.’
